Andrew matriculated from Rondebosch Boys’ High School in 2012 after being awarded colours for academics, rowing and service.  He went on to study a BSc(Eng) degree at the University of Cape Town, graduating with honours in 2016. Andrew’s undergraduate project, which was supervised by Prof. Genevieve Langdon, involved improving the structural response of V-shaped hulls on armored vehicles subjected to localised air-blast loading.

Andrew is currently pursuing his MSc under the supervision of Dr Reuben Govender and Prof. Gerald Nurick. His research is focused on designing and building an experimental rig for mechanical testing of skin and membrane tissue in the form of a quasistatic bulge tester.
